Dreaming of a coastal break with your dog? At Camping Les Medes, pet-friendly camping is not only possible—it’s thoughtfully supported. Pets are welcome on our camping plots until 5 July and again after 22 August, giving you two ideal windows for a relaxed, well-equipped stay near the sea. (Please note, pets are not permitted in the bungalows.) Where to Walk and Explore With Your Dog

Within our pet-friendly camping windows, you’ll find plenty to see and do right from the campsite.

Tip: In warmer months, aim for early morning or later afternoon outings to keep your dog comfortable.

Traveling in Peak Summer? Boarding & Leisure Options for Dogs

If you’re visiting in July or August, when pets are not permitted on our plots (outside the short early-July/late-August windows), we collaborate with Canisapiens in Ventalló. This dedicated leisure and well-being facility can look after dogs in optimal conditions during high season. For peace of mind, contact them in advance to secure a spot.

What to Pack for Pet-Friendly Camping

Use this checklist to keep your dog happy and safe during your stay.

  1. Lead and collar/harness (with ID tag) and a spare lead.
  2. Bed or crate for a familiar, secure rest space.
  3. Food and treats, plus a collar-attachable pouch for training rewards on walks.
  4. Bowls (travel or collapsible for day trips) and a fresh water supply in the car.
  5. Waste bags and a small sealable bin liner for tidy disposal.
  6. Towels (plus a quick-dry towel) for post-beach or post-trail clean-ups—then finish in our dog bathing room.
  7. Brush and basic grooming kit (especially handy after sandy or piney paths).
  8. Health essentials: any medications, flea/tick protection, and your usual veterinary documents.
  9. Sun and heat comfort: a portable shade, cooling mat, and a travel fan or cooling vest during warmer days.
  10. Night visibility: LED collar or reflective gear for low-light walks.
  11. Pitch essentials: CEE adapter for electricity, Gardena ½" or ¾" hose connector (or similar) for water.
